Much better in retrospect

"I grew up in the Tampa Bay area during the Outlaws rise to prominence. They were a regular staple on the radio along with Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet. Listening to them again years later I have to agree with other reviews. They are far better than I remember and I think their sound has held up better over time than others. The guitar work is excellent, the lyrics good and loyalty to the southern rock sound complete. The Outlaws didn't get much support from outside Florida and for some reason didn't seem to connect with the other southern bands. Whether that was true or not, the result is that they are one of the lesser known bands of the southern rock genre. But anyone who listens once or twice will change their opinion and put the Outlaws near the top with the likes of Skynyrd and the Allman's. They're that good."
