In this great album Contreras pays homage to the late cuban bolerista singer Orlando Vallejo. In 1981, Contreras recorded 13 of the very best hits of Vallejo's Havana recorded repertoire and gave these hit bolero songs new life and feeling. "El Madrugador" a tremendous hit "guajira son", recorded by Vallejo with Fajardo Y His All Star Orch. and other hits like "Dudas De Mi", "Desconfianza", "Goticas de Dolor","Rosa Peregrina","Un Amigo Mio","Embeleso de Amor", "Extran~o en el Paraiso", "Serenata en Batanga", "Cuando Ya No Me Quieras",'Amor Ciego","Que Murmuren" and "Esa Melodia'.
