And more songs missing
Nahuel Sugobono | Saenz Pena, Buenos Aires Argentina | 01/30/2008

"I came to see the songs on this soundtrack and found out that the songs I liked to listen are not present. There are a couple of traditional Peruvian songs that run throughout the movie. It's a shame, because they are quite present in the film. Anyway, I got the name of them, just in case anybody is interested. They are "Vienen bajando las llamitas" (The little llamas are coming down), by Uña Ramos, and "Alborozo Kolla" (Kolla Joy), by Andes Folk Group. There are also some Ali Farka Toure's songs missing. What a pity."

"Also missing is George Michael's Freedom which is heard not once but twice in the movie. There are several others featured in the film which do not appear on the soundtrack. Lame."
Songs missing and added... HUH?!?!?!?

"This is one bizarre soundtrack. I only happened upon it because I was looking for the MP3 download of Lisa Stansfield's "All Around the World". Oddly enough, even though the song has been out for, I dunno, several years, at least, the only place Amazon has it is through buying the download of this entire album / soundtrack.

Coincidentally, I just rented the Nanny Diaries movie within the week. The movie was actually pretty good, but: is there a relationship between the movie and the "soundtrack"?!?!? I don't think so. "All Around the World" was NOT in the movie, and neither were several of the others on the soundtrack. Simultaneously, it is missing George Michael and a few other songs that were featured in the movie. I don't get it.

All in all, it IS an interesting compilation of music -- I've got to give it that much credit -- but calling it the soundtrack to that movie just doesn't make sense."
