A fun, but not groundbreaking album

"I should preface this by saying that Optiganally Yours' first album was one of my favorites in recent years, and that if you want to buy only one of their albums, then the first one is the way to go.Exclusively Talentmaker has several excellent songs, ranging from the lilting, dizzy first track, Oar, to the infectious Nonpartisan. However, it really doesn't expand much on the first album, and relies mainly on the same tricks of short, catchy (and usually not very meaningful) ditties built on quirky instrument sounds. Still, if you like Optiganally Yours at all, you'll almost definitely enjoy this album. Even if you're not familiar with Optiganally Yours, then rest assured that if you like easily accessible tunes that you'll never hear on the mall speakers, then you're likely to appreciate this album."
How to check out the songs on this cd before you buy

"Amazon currently isn't providing snippets of the songs on this cd. However, on the free internet radio station accuradio.com, there is an excellent substation called High Fidelity which plays the songs on this cd fairly often. The duo behind Optiganally Yours uses a 70s era toy organ which plays optical disks (OPTIcal orGAN, get it?) The results are unreasonably fun and catchy, especially Donut, Nonpartisan, Last Ride of the Pony Express, Ether, and Figaro. My wife hates this cd because she finds herself singing Nonpartisan all the time. Needless to say, I immediately ordered their debut cd, Spotlight On."
One of my favorite albums!

"I saw some passive reviews for this album, but I bought it because I enjoy Rob Crow in all his forms (Pinback, Goblin Cock, Thingy, The Ladies), and this album did not disappoint! It took maybe a week of listening to fully appreciate the nuances, but it was on heavy rotation on my ipod for six months straight-no kidding. If you are looking at Optiganally Yours and trying to decide which album to start with, start with this one: Exclusively Talentmaker is more artistically refined and imaginatively raw. This album is well worth the $."
