"I am grateful that this album was rediscovered and re-released. This is easily the best CD I have purchased in 2008. Feiner and Anywhen have created a work of timeless beauty with the sensitive vocals, the lush orchestrations, the immaculate arrangements, and excellent songwriting. The CD is worth the price for "The Siren Song" alone, but other gems include "For Now", and "All That Numbs You". Treat yourself."
Beautiful Piece

"If you enjoy David Sylvian, you will enjoy The Opiates Revised. The music is captivating. Like Sylvian, he comprises every song with multiple instruments without it becoming overbearing."
Gorgeous! But it now!

"This album is gorgeous, one of the best in this decade, period! Music is beautiful, excellence on every level! You don't have to live in Sweden or have a emotional turmoil to appreciate it (though it might help :-) The albums of this level are rare nowadays. The depth of emotions and beauty of arrangements and lyrics - all inclusive, all organically laid out there for you to immerse in. Unbelievable! Anyone who likes David Sylvian will adore this album. The only complain I have - it has no printed lyrics in the booklet. Beautiful, rich packaging (as always from the Sylvian's camp), every detail is though trough, that's why I will complain about that. This music REQUIRES lyrics in the packaging, as they are just as important and just as deep and beatiful, and can stand out on itself as the poetry as everything else on this record. Just like on David Sylvian's records. Other then that little gripe - buy it now!"
Beautiful and sad

"If you like Perry Blake and David Sylvian (of course) or even late Talk Talk (or Mark Hollis solo), you will love this album. Slow, melancholic, at times even sad, but most of all beautiful. Not lovely, not sweet - pure, raw beauty like raw diamond - you need to make an effort to get inside it to discover all the hidden treasure. But it's worth trying. Samadhisound seems to evolve into must-have label."
