Album DescriptionFor over 15 years, the musicians who made up One Week In April played music together, in various configurations, always saying that one day they would record together. Finally, in April 1996, Nick Bennett and Kent Rytting assembled the group in a house in Syracuse, Utah (and later, Fast Forward Recording in Salt Lake City), and they all began playing through dozens of songs from the writers in the group - rehearsing, arranging, winnowing down, and recording, over the space of a week. The time was short, and the results - the 14 songs on Songs Arriving Late - are rough, but heartfelt.
