CD ReviewsWasted Talent 08/21/2001 (1 out of 5 stars) "These women are seriously talented! It's too bad their label saddled them up with a horrible selection of songs and producers. How many different orchestra hits came free with that keyboard? Then they don't seem to know how to promote One Voice (or don't believe it's worth trying at this point). I feel bad for the group, and can only hope that they are allowed to do better work next time. At this rate, the taste for Filipino talent from the Bay is going to become over-saturated real quickly. One Voice needs to keep taking new steps the way they did with their first album, and artists like Pinay and Jocelyn Enriquez have done in the past. This is just wasted talent." Pretty dope 08/13/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "I think that One Vo1ce's new album "Sincerely Yours" has shown a lot of growth of the group since their first album a few years ago. I especially like the songs, "I Don't Wanna Dance Alone" and "Crying Game." I agree though that some of the solo parts in the songs like the first verse in "Thru It All" and the first verse in "U Brighten Up My Life" need more vocal training. But when they do come together, the harmony is great. Good luck One Vo1ce!" One Vo1ce Second Album I'm hungry | Japan | 07/17/2001 (4 out of 5 stars) "ahhhh yes, one vo1ce. jus another filipino r&b group from the rich talented bay area. their are so many talented asian/ filipino singers in the bay area. makes ya wish an asian invasion can happen on mtv's trl >= ) well on the review: one vo1ce 'Sincerely Yours' their second album this time backed up wtih many producers from Jae-e [who did most of the first album], and F.L.I.P. [funky little island people], grim reapers and also one vo1ce themselves helping on the beats. i like the 2 tracks that F.L.I.P. did "Crying Game" and "I Don't Wanna Dance Alone" the lyrics are very deep on these tracks if you're not one of those people who only listen to the beats;... the lyrics of this album is simple and to the point ^.^ the first track "So Badd" is tight as hell ^-^ also theres a track from the 'project kamikaze vol. 1' cd: an acppella remake of "Come With Me" one vo1ce really comes off smooth on the acappella track's. grim reapers production tracks seems to be the weakest ones outta the album. the only tracks i didn't like >= \ "Make Believe" sounds too much like the old 'bay boy' mase an puff tracks [yuk]. randy rock sounds like a filipino puff daddy [he did a tight track offa the project kamikaze cd]. one of the member's seems to have a talent for writing songs "Monica Castillo" with the track "My Angel" overall; i like this cd ^.^ very well done and good work one vo1ce! Try to get F.L.I.P. to produce more of your tracks on the next album ^-^ oh yea; the remix of "Never Leave Your Side" is hella tight on the freestyle tip! One Love everyone; peace out (= >)ichiban reppin' the 209 stockton, Kali all the way live in japan 8^)"
