"Despite other comments, it's unfair to pan an album for not meeting the standards of your favorite group. I don't give bad scores to Stones albums because I prefer The Beatles, nor should I slam One Hundred Days because PFR is my favorite -- even if a friend/fan recommended them.

That said, this is brilliant stuff. Ian Tanner and company deliver their most consistent collection of songs, avoiding the trappings of the Christian music genre. A lot of emotion is within these grooves, so read the lyrics and liner notes for the behind-the-scenes details. The title track is chock full of Beatle-esque sparkle, while other standouts include "Avalon", "The Darkest Day of the Year" and "Hard Man to Soup". There's not a bad song to be found, so if you're a fan of progressive pop, give this record a spin."
