"100% trip music. The downside to this album is that there is no vocals but thats hardly a downside. To me you just focus entirely on all the intensity that this quintet can throw at you in this 8 song ensemble. If you like Mars Volta or The Apocolypse Inside Of An Orange (a solo project from Omar) then this is definately something you should pick up. If yo0u dont have any of the aforementioned then take advantage of amazon's multi-cd discount and buy what you can because I find myself just wanting more."
Independent of and reflective of his previous work...

"I have only heard this album once(and it most definitely will not be the last). I have collected and spent a good amount of time digesting the plentiful and rewarding works of Omar Lopez Rodriguez. If you enjoy any of his previous releases (solo or otherwise) I suggest you give this one a listen.
This album features a beautiful melding of Omar's various guitar stylings and Lush amounts of complementary sound manipulation to go with it. The opening track "Hands tied..." is a very powerful, dramatic, multifaceted intro that demands attention and doesn't let you down. The rest of the tracks on this album are not as easy to wrap yourself around as typical rock songs go, but if you allow you mind to remain open you will be able to hear the real beauty to be found in this album. Each track has its own distinct personality and voice. Although each may seem to indulge in the moment, to me, it never feels non directional, nor spaztic, more so its very focused in exploiting the chaotic nature of emotions being expressed on this album.
Its hard for me to put in words the works of Omar, but with every release I feel that there is a very personal and intimate relationship between him and every track that goes into each one of his albums.
bottom line, GET this album, give it some time and it will grow on you if it doesn't the first few times around."
