"Omar Martinez was the drummer for Paul Revere & the Raiders from 1972 to 2006 (he left in May 2006), but during that time he also recorded a couple solo albums. "Lost and Found" is the second one, originally only available through the Raiders mailing list and website. I'm glad to see it's recieving wider distribution now. The lyrics of Omar's songs are rooted in gospel, all contain a Christian message, some more subtle than others. The music is rock with a Latin flavor (appropriately enough, since Omar's homeland is Cuba). "Seek the Truth" sounds like James Brown singing gospel, danceable beat and great guitar riffs that stay in your head. "Mr. Max" is Omar's personal favorite song on the cd, with just a hint of country in the sound, with pedal steel and acoustic guitars. "I Don't Miss You" is a dark song that looks at the loneliness and despair of a life without God. "You" is the flip side of that, a song of thanks and praise, with a Latin beat. Omar's Raider buddies Carlo Driggs and Danny Krause sing backup with him throughout the album, the three of them have a very special vocal blend. Omar's got a great voice that can sing any style - strong and powerful, soft and gentle, all depending on what the song needs. If you've enjoyed his performances with the Raiders, you should get this CD. If his name and music are new to you, listen to the samples, you've got a nice surprise awaiting you. I hope he continues to share his musical gift with all of us."
Great! If you enjoy music that'll move you!

"We especially like "Thanks For The Love," "Mr. Max," and "Lost & Found." The Latin, Pop/Rock infusion of this CD adds a unique and lasting flavor that lingers long after you've listened! Thank you, Omar!"
