"Because of the relentless onset of all music sounding virtually the same, I search endlessly for music that has depth, soul and passion. Olu is that music. Olu works with the same producer that gave us Sade, Sweetback and Maxwell so one can rest assured that the melodies and sounds are genuine and not rehashed samples of yesteryear. Conversely, even though the music is new, it reminds us of the grooves from back in the day with it lush rhythms. There is certain music that I classify as "travel music", music that is great for a nice roadtrip to some exotic escape. Olu is the perfect music for such a jaunt. His voice reminds you of Bryan McKnight, Kenny Latimore and Eric Benet all rolled into one, and yet it's distinct at the same time. I see this CD as the personification of "getting your groove on music". I pick it as one of the better CD's over the last few years and I recommend it as a must have."

"THIS ALBUM IS SO MELLOW AND SO ASPIRING I CAN'T EVEN FIND THE WORDS TO SAY HOW. HE IS TRULLY GIFTED AND TALENTED. EVER SINCE I BOUGHT THIS ALBUM I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PUT IT DOWN. THIS CD KEEPS ME GOING WHEN I FEEL I CANNOT. THIS BROTHER IS NICE. THIS IS A REAL RELIEF FROM ALL OF THAT ASHANTI, B2K GARBAGE BEING FORCED ON US INTELLEGENT BLACK PEOPLE BY THE URBAN MEDIAAN ESSENTIAL TO FANS OF THE POSITIVE NU SOUL MOVEMENT"

"I SAW OLU'S VIDEO ON BET AND FROM THAT ONE SONG I KNEW I HAD TO HAVE THE CD. I AM TRULY GLAD I MADE THIS PURCHASE. THE CD STAYED IN MY BOOMBOX FOR WEEKS. I ESPECIALLY LOVE THE TRACKS, SISTA WHY?, LONG WAY AND MY WORLD. UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE NEVER HEARD ANY RADIO AIRPLAY IN MY CITY FOR ANY OF OLU'S SONGS. I JUST FEEL IT'S A SHAME HOW RADIO STATIONS WILL PLAY ONLY CERTAIN SONGS OVER AND OVER AGAIN WHEN THEY COULD BE PLAYING REAL MUSIC LIKE OLU. I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO ALL FUTURE PROJECTS."
Listen to the Deldrick ... he's right on target.

"Olu is an incredible artist ...vocalist. I'm rarely blown away by contemporary muscicians -- but Olu's captivating sound and thoughtful themes have left me wondering why he hasn't blown up. Apparently, radio stations have an aversion to great music. It's ashame he's not getting the exposure his talent deserves. Buy two or three copies and send them to a few friends. Fellas, send Soul Catcher to any woman you're interested in, and I guarantee that if she can't dig this brother's sound -- she ain't the one! Adriana Evans is another neglected treasure. Her self-titled CD is too nice to pass up."
A definite capturer of the soul

"Olu fills the void in R&B music with his debut. The voice and lyrics alone make this album a classic. This album can serve as inspiration in time of trial, as well in triumph. My favorite cuts are My World, Baby Can't Leave It Alone, and Together. If you are tired of listening to the mainstream cuts that are in heavy rotation at your local urban radio station, give Soul Catcher a try. You won't be disappointed."
