"Best of" ?

"Not exactly- it is not the "Best of" album in the usual sense of the word, but a collection of her non-merengue music, primarily ballads.
Olga showed in Yo Por Ti's "Prohibido El Paso" that she is a magnificent ballad singer, but few of the ballads here are of that caliber. Several are from Sobrevivir, which is in my opinion, her weakest album.
There is included Por Tu Amor, the one very good song from Sobrevivir, plus two of the best from Te Acordaras de Mi: "Tu Amor", and "Hielo y Fuego" . (None of these are ballads). Too bad they didn't include Un Hombre y Una Mujer, a gem of a song from that same album, as well as the aformentioned Prohibido El Paso - her best ever ballad, and yet it's not included here.
I also like Me Subes, Me Bajas Me Subes, that is the best song on Nuevos Senderos (and there is a great video of this on her Exitos en Video DVD). So overall, there are some great songs on this CD, but too many that are not that interesting.
This album, along with the more merengue oriented A Puero Fuego do give a fair overview of Olga's decade long work, and have some of her very best songs, but like most "Best of" albums, the overall program choices leave something to be desired."
Great Piece for my collection!

"This is a great collectors item of this muli-talented star. If you don't have any of her CD's, this is the one to get joined with "A PURO FUEGO"."
