One of the best rock albums of 2007

"Old Time Relijun, an underappreciated underground band out of Olympia, WA, have built up a cult following over the past ten years or so with a strong discography of some six albums or so and long tours across the states and Europe.
Their sound is something like Beefheart fronting The Contortions, in a scary dream... Some funky rhythms and intense sax plus some loud guitars and very intense vocals. Definitely something out of the mainstream yet very catchy at the same time. Definitely rockin' but also very literary and cerebral. If you like early Sonic Youth, Captain Beefheart, or all that original No Wave stuff, you will probably dig this bigtime.
This album is definitely the cleanest production I've heard from them yet, and is also the first studio recording with their current lineup which includes a new sax player and drummer."
