"1982 reunites,"the Red Headed Stranger" and the "King Of The Road" on this album OLD FRIENDS,covering mostly Miller hits,"When Two Worlds Collide","I'll Pick Up Heart(and go home)","Husbands and Wives", and Miller takes a solo with his original "Aladambama",a typical Miller novelty song that was always Miller's trademark. FUNNY HOW TIME SLIPS AWAY,Nelson's trademark and title of this 1985 album,"the Sheriff" Faron Young joins Willie Nelson in this true blue traditional country songfest album, backed by fiddle player Johnny Gimble, and Nelson's long time steel player Jimmy Day,this recording of two legends that know how to wail a song is well worth the price of admission, both singers are in top form almost trying to out do one another - listen to the best version of "Hello Walls" you'll ever hear , the uptempo,"Live Fast,Love Hard,Die Young",along with Don Gibson's "Sweet Dreams",then Faron Young does it solo with his big hit,"Four In The Morning",next Willie takes the mike with his original,"She's Not For You",recorded for the eighth time , must be Nelson's favorite song , maybe he's lookin' for a hit, it is a good song , just never reaching hit status. Closing the album is the Willie Nelson classic,"Funny How Time Slips Away" listen to Young and Nelson wail this one admirablely. This cd released 1999 by koch is out of print."
