Accompanying the CD is a 24-page booklet containing not only the lyrics, credits, and graphics for each song, but the colorful running commentary from the songfight boards that these entries generated. Ranging from such comments as "I hope you guys eat a cheese wheel and choke on it" for one the first Octothorpe recordings to the more recent "These guys have definitely perfected their own sound. you can always count on them for bizarre, overdriven vocals. nothing Ive ever heard sounds like octothorpe" , the booklet is as entertaining as the music. would never blend quite smoothly or harmoniously but have a unique sound and vision, and music that reminds one of the carnival. Quite a mix of aural overload. The range of style of songs is incredibly mind-boggling, but, amazingly enough, manages to capture the bands flavor on every track. The album also comes with an incredibly hilarous booklet that adds to the information overload with visual effects and psychological hidden meanings. If you need a good laugh or want to shut out the real world, or even ponder the meaning of the universe with the lyrics, buy this cd. I can't wait till their next album comes out!" |
