"Octane is quite possibly the most talented band to come out of Philly in a long time. They rock, plain and simple. There's no gimmicks or crap on this cd, just some good hard rock songs. Musically, you can hear the influences of Disturbed, Alice In Chains, and Guns N' Roses, but Octane has a sound of their own. A really good sound.
"Sicklike" is a very heavy song that gets the job done in the pit, "Gasoline" is a ballad and local radio hit that burns quite well, and the chorus to "Chosen" should make anybody scream along. "Nothing But" has a shredding solo that absolutely kicks ass, and other good songs on here include "Trace", "Pure", "I Cry" and "Watch You Beg". I've seen Octane at least 10 times over the past year at various bars and they bring it live too. It's about time a band this good came out of this area. Anybody who likes rock or metal should like this one, and I give it a 9/10 (which equates to 5 stars by rounding up)."
Metal IS NOT Dead

"Alright people, I'm betting that if you are reading this, you're one of the few people to have discovered the band known as "Octane". If you are a fan, or just curious about these guys, trust me. They are they best rock/metal band I have heard in the last few months. With original music that rivals disturbed and metallica, Octane will keep you coming back for more the moment you see them in concert or hear the cd. Every song is amazing in its own way, and to hear them live is an experience like no other. If you're just discovering octane, I say "enjoy!!" If you have been a fan like myself, well, you understand the point I'm trying to make. Bottomline...Octane is the best (original) rock/metal band you will find out there today. Better than anything else that you'll hear on the radio, and better than anything you all ready have in your cd collection. Buy it! Crank it when you're out there driving with the car windows rolled down! And tell everyone to listen and know that metal is not dead!!"

"One of those rare bands that are really good. They may be my favorite band out there. This band will appeal to listeners of most fans, especially those who like Audioslave, Metallica, Godsmack, among others. If you've been waiting for that really good band that just seems to be unfindable, by this, you wont be disappointed.
The lyrics are poignant, the vocals heavy, and the guitar dynamic. Fans of Tool, Godsmack, etc, please buy this one!"
I'd rather listen to OCTANE then anything else!!

"I dont know what made me do it but I did it, I went to an OCTANE show now Im hooked. I'd rather listen to OCTANE instead of all this main stream pop crap out there to day..Do yourself a favor, buy this CD, you wont regret it...The song CHOSEN just gets me pumped everytime I hear it, another great tune is GASOLINE, and how could you not go wild to SICKLIKE- just hearing that live is worth the $10.00 cover @ Club Epoch. With their radio hit I FOR ONE, its a wonder why some major label hasn't signed them yet!Keep up the good work guys, look forward to rockin' with ya!!"
