CD ReviewsIt's Still Playing in the Streets of Spain Erik J. Booher | Georgia, USA | 09/11/2004 (4 out of 5 stars) "I heard this song at a club in La Manga, Spain, and it got stuck in my head. I couldn't figure out the language or the name of the song, though, so I had to go to this massive department store called El Corte Ingles and actually sing it to the clerk so she could get the CD. She pretended not to know it for a few minutes and then started laughing, said enough, and got me the CD. Most of the tracks are pretty decent for party music, but another reviewer was right on when she said it was kind of silly. But that's half the fun. If I wanted serious, I would buy classical music and no one would come to my parties. I'm taking this back to the states with me tomorrow, and while I doubt it will catch on in xenophobic Georgia, I'll still have something original. The sad thing is, these guys won't make much money off this CD in europe. I cannot begin to describe the music and movie piracy that is all the rage over here. It makes occasional kazaa users look like amateurs. EVERYBODY here is pirating music. Spaniards just don't have the disposabal income to spend on music right now, so I guess that's some justification, but I'm glad to see something besides porn coming out of Romania. I just wish the artists the best of luck making the buck." Awesome album Anne | San Francisco, CA USA | 09/04/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "I first came across O-Zone's Dragostinei din Te video during a trip through Europe. I thought it was hilarious and cheesy at first -- but found myself totally hooked. I went through Virgin Record stores through Spain and Italy and finally purchased the full album in France. I'm surprised it's now available to US amazon.com shoppers. I'm completely hooked to the album and listen to it whenever I need a mood-lifter. Cheers!" European No.1 Sinitta | Germany | 08/20/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "It is No.1 since weeks in Germany and has been No.1 in Romania, Italy, Spain...there are some cover versions, but this is the original written by band-member Dan Balan. It's the first international hit in Romanian language and even conquered the UK Top 5 . It's pretty good - the album is too - so it's about time to conquer the rest of the world with this hit :)"
