"After listening to this talented, young artist, I am convinced that we will be hearing much more from him in the future. His sound is as fresh as his name, which I understand is the Papua New Guinea word for ocean. He was raised there and has two albums released in that country. Living in Hawaii seems to have allowed him to blend island sounds, in the song "Pretty Wahine" and "Meri Lewa" (which means sweetheart in Pidgin.) A prison experience seems to have provided the lyrics for "Island Warriors", and the murder of Angela the thought provoking lines in "Wat'cha Gonna Do". It is difficult to know what category to place this album. It is reggae, hip hop, rap, ballad, and island sounds all blended together in a unique new, yet familiar sound. Amazingly, Oshen has written every song and with the talent of grammy nominee Carlos Villa Lobos this album is a good find. Hopefully, those on the mainland will soon be hearing what Pacific Islanders have been hearing for over a year, a fresh, new talented artist."
