My Introduction To NWW
Logan Albright | Marietta, Georgia USA | 01/18/2003
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I had heard a lot about this band and was anxious to give them a try when at last I found this in a record store. I was not disappointed.
The first track is phenomenal, filled with bizarre fluttery noises that make your skin crawl. It paints a fantastic aural picture of African mequitos and the effects of their bite.
The second track is my least favorite. It seems to me to be merely a random sampling of sound effects without any real direction, but it is still enjoyable.
The final track is another great one, finally adding some rhythm to the album with tribal sounding beats and even a few vocals.
The only real fault that I see here is in the album's replay value. Once you've heard the songs a few times they become less and less interesting. However I think this is a fine introduction to the band. I have since purchased Spiral Insana and find it to be a superior record, but Man With The Woman Face is definately worth a listen, especially if you're a fan."
