CD ReviewsSomething different 06/20/2004 (4 out of 5 stars) "Original musical arrangements of traditional holiday songs are combined with nature sounds! The best cut for me was, "God rest ye merry Gentlemen" buttressed by crashing waves!! Sounds odd, I know, but in the crusty pantheon of holiday recordings, this is at the very least, something different.Other combos include, "Deck the Halls" accented with songbirds and a bubbling stream, "The First Noel" set in a swamp alive with migrating geese, and "We Three Kings of Orient Are" laminated by coyote cries.This has be come my second favorite Christmas disc of all time after David Grisman's "Acoustic Christmas.""
