CD ReviewsSome details about this recording Dan Beimborn | London, UK | 03/19/2007 (3 out of 5 stars) "I was one of the artists on this CD. It was recorded at DV studios in Shorewood, Wisconsin. Here are some of the players: Kostia (his piano and synth playing can be heard on the Narada label) Brett Lipshutz: Flute, Whistles Chris Buckley: Fiddle, viola Ed Paloucek: Fiddle Dan Beimborn: bouzouki, mandolin At the time the 4 of us were in a Milwaukee band called "180 & the Letter G". Alas, we never recorded our own CD, though if you mentally subtract the chirping crickets and nature sounds from the mix, the tune sets are more or less as we played them in the Milwaukee Irish pub scene in the mid to late 90s! This was one of those CDs that was on the kiosks where you could press a button of the CD cover to hear a sound sample. Friend reported seeing it all over the country, so I suppose it must have done well!" Yeah it's nice, but . . . *vintage*movie*maniac* | Utah, USA | 07/15/2006 (3 out of 5 stars) "if you're looking for great versions of these tunes, this is not the CD to get. It's nice and relaxing but if that's not what you're looking for then don't bother. NatureQuest doesn't do a very good job with their liner notes so there's no list of performers. Also, many of these tracks contain multiple tunes but only the first of each set is listed. If you aren't up on all Celtic tunes then you may not know the titles of the unlisted tunes (that drives me crazy!) I hate it when Amazon doesn't provide a track listing (as of 7/14/06) so here it is: 1. Si Beag Si Mor 2. Foxhunters 3. Saddle the Pony 4. Lord Gordon's 5. Breton Tune 6. Moon Coin 7. Sally Garden 8. Kid on the Mountain 9. Scatter the Mud 10. Crowley's Reel & Reprise 11. Southwind 12. Hedigean's Fancy 13. Muenster Cloak 14. Celtic Quest 15. A Mhailhrin Dhileas" The Best Celtic Instrumental...... samainfirenight | Parksville, KY United States | 08/23/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "I have several Celtic CD's in my Collection, but this one has to be the best one that I own. The music is not piercing and harsh like most other Irish songs, it really relaxes the mind and body. I originally bought this CD about three years ago, then scratched it so badly that it would not play. I love the Music so much that I have been on a hunt for the past year to buy another; I finally ended up here and was excited to find it."
