I found the second half of this great collection at last!!!!

"I had owned a LP of "Songs of the West" since the 60's and had just about worn it out, all the time knowing that there was a second album I beleived called "Songs of the Cowboy". I had never been able to find a copy of that second record, so imagine my surprise and joy at browsing under a search of "Norman Luboff" in Amazon.com one night and seeing a cd called "The Cowboys Dream". On reviewing the listing of the songs on this cd I found half of them were from my album. I had found the remaining album at last. Thank you so much Amazon.com. It's as great as I had hoped."

This is an oldie that I have been looking for for years!!!

"This is a compilation of two albums: Songs of the West, and Songs of the Cowboy. My son was born in 1963 and I rocked him (sometimes us) to sleep with this music. His son and my (new) grandson will also now be rocked to sleep with the same music. Thank you Mr. Luboff for the greatest in relaxing music."

"When I was a member of the Cadet Chorus at the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, our choir director brought in a tape with the Norman Luboff choir version of "Ghostriders in the Sky." We emulated their style and the song became one of the staples of our performances. I asked our director for a copy of the album and played it so often it wore out. It is beautiful! There is something about the tone of an all-male choir that cannot be beat and this CD is a must-have. The songs are terrific and the harmony excellent. It is simply impossible to describe in words how great this album sounds. I doubt there has ever been a choir with the charsima and talent as Luboff's, nor an album as perfect as "Songs of the Cowboy." When you consider the technology available when the recordings were made they are even more impressive. I cannot imagine what they would sound like if taped in a modern sound studio. This album is definitely one that will send chills down your spine. Don't believe me? Buy it and listen. WOW!!"
