CD Reviews

West Coast Hardcore at its finest!!!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"The boys from San Diego are back, & it doesn't get any better than this, folks! If you like old-school raw power & thunderous "meaty" production, this one's for you. I have been a fan of N.I.V. for a long time & I have enjoyed each release thoroughly. Each one has its own personality, but they never stray from their overall sound. Fans of old school hardcore (sick of it all, minor threat) and new school (earth crisis, boy sets fir) should appreciate this gem! The best point of all...these guys aren't ashamed of their faith in Christ. They speak the truth with conviction. Open your hearts & minds, buy this CD (and the other ones) and prepare to hear some of the best hardcore EVER performed this side of eternity!"
Great Hardcore, but not enough

"I've been an NIV fan for a while and this album did not dissapoint from the musical aspect. All 11 songs are hard and heavy and bring everything I've come to expect from NIV. However, the thing that keeps me from giving this album 5 stars is its length. Clocking in at 22 minutes, it is undoubtably the shortest album I've ever paid ... for. I suppose the argument could be made that instead of putting in a bunch of filler, NIV opted for quality over quantity. While this may be true, I think all of us want more than 22 minutes for our hard earned cash. Definately some good music here but lets tack on 15 or 20 minutes more next time."
