Why not big in America?

"Why these guys aren't huge in the U.S. is beyond me. I feel lucky to have discovered them. The music is great and refreshing."
I'm buying this based on one single song...

"I bought this based on one single song, 'jcb'. The video (www.jcbsong.co.uk) is one of the most touching and best-executed things about fathers and sons ever done. I was very pleased to find that the rest of the disk holds up, and it has spent a log of time in my cd player ever since coming in the door.
You can hear the influence of Van Morrison, modern acoustic folk, jazz, pop, and things from all over the musical map. What sets it apart is that these guys take those influences and make it their own. They've got a unique and likable sound, one that I hope to hear a lot more of in years to come. Fine work."

"I came across a Nizlopi song while listening. It sparked my interest because of it's unique sound. Lots of accoustic guitar with capo. Along with an upright double bass and a human beatbox. So, I picked up this album and wasn't disappointed. I don't know how to describe their music in terms of other bands as it is so unique. It's from England, so it doesn't get much attention in the states. Check out the samples and if it intrigues you as it did me, then it's a must have. However, in my opinion, their two best songs are on another album entitled JCB Song. "Helen" and "Clear" are just hard to beat."
Trust no one...

"Don't let the quirkyness of the JCB song fool you, this is no novelty band. The musicianship is amazing, and the sound these guys get out of just a double bass and a guitar is unbelievable. And don't let anyone put you off of buying the album either... if you think you'll like it, you probably will. It's probably the most original yet easily accessible album I've heard in ages. They might not have enough sex appeal for Jason in the previous review there, but if you'd rather your music sounded sexy than look it then give them a go."
