"This a welcome reissue of Pike's hyper-rare album. Dave Pike plays the vibes over a terrific funk accompaniment. The release features original tracks from Pike and guitarist Joop Scholten but the real charm is the unusual cover versions of "Spooky", Bacharach's "Do You Know the Way to San Jose" and James Brown's "Got the Feelin"."
Ermm - which title?

"The previous review is actually not about this release - it's about 'Got The Feelin' by The Dave Pike Set. Nino is a seriously crazed Frenchman who produced some fantastically warped library funk in the '70s. This one is pretty tame in comparison with his more far out cuts (check 'Afro Spooky'), but some great roots funk instrumentals on it. Well worth having - 'Got The Feelin' is better though if you can get hold of it :)
