In the wake of the emergence of Evanescence on the rock scene, many rock fans sought other female fronted bands and discovered this group that became popular in their homeland and the rest of Europe. Toilling since 1997 and founded by keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen, he assembled opera vocalist Tarja Turunen, guitarist Emppo Vuorinen, bassist Sami V?nsk? and drummer Jukka Nevalainen.
