"Yeah, I found out about the Nighthawks in the mid 70's as well. I guess this one in particular made such an impression that I plunged headlong into collecting blues music. Today this recording remains my favorite blues cd along with the first release by Roomful of Blues. I don't write many recommendations, so if you are on the fence, and looking for a hidden gem, grab this one."

"I've been into the Nighthawks since the early '70's while living in Washington, D.C. I used to catch them at the Bayou and Cellar Door in Georgetown, and Phychedelly in Bethesda, MD. They're the best blues band there is and this CD is evidence of that. Hey, Mark and Jimmy, I'm still your biggest fan! I've had this album since way back when and now with no record player (remember those?) I am delighted the CD is available to replace my record. No, I'm not getting rid of the ol' vinyl copy. It'll be a collector's item someday!"
