Album Description2007 two CD set that contains two outstanding albums featuring Donald Byrd and Kenny Burrell fronting small groups (sextet and septet) for the first time ever on one release. The LPs were recorded within a period of only one week and featured complementary material and album titles. In fact, both open with extended Blues performances that last nearly twenty minutes long and were given the same title as their respective original albums: All Night Long and All Day Long. Probably the most interesting interaction on these albums is that of Donald Byrd and Kenny Burrell. As a bonus to these outstanding albums, we offer a third complete LP featuring a very similar lineup to the All Night Long album and recorded only a couple of months later, on March 5, 1957. 18 tracks. Lonehill.
