"On this album, internationally acclaimed musician Nigel Holton does some spectacular work as writer, keyboardist, and producer. I like many different types of music, and I found the songs on this cd universally appealing, with different atmospheres evoked by the wide variety of musical styles included on the cd. Though all the songs are excellent, especially check out the masterpiece "The Road to Donnegal," featuring the phenomenal pennywhistle work of Richard Hardy (who also did the flutes on the "Everest" soundtrack). It is one of the most astonishingly haunting melodies I've ever heard, and I never get tired of hearing it. (And if you are lucky enough to see it performed live, you'll find yourself in the midst of massive, explosive applause at its finish -- I've been there!) Every song on "Above the Clouds" is a gem, whether a Celtic masterpiece or a meditation background. This is one of those cds that I keep giving as a gift, and everyone I've given it to likes it. This is truly a cd that you'll play over and over and over, so enjoy! And if you ever have a chance to see Nigel live, don't miss him -- it's a remarkable experience!"

"Nigel Holton's album: "Above the Clouds" is an inspiring collection of enlightenment and discovery. You will be transported on a timeless "Inner Journey" and be lifted "Above the Clouds". The passionate mixture of Celtic, East Indian and African influences will carry you across the "Waves of Time". You will feel hope and joy as "Remembrance" reminds us that our journeys as travelers on this planet are together not separate. You will feel touched and uplifted, restored and reconnected. You will recall that beauty, strength and wisdom lie within you, and finally that "You Are Love". This album is good medicine for the soul and paradise for the ears."
