First Offense, my review from Barcelona

(3 out of 5 stars)
"In fact 'First Offense' is the Nick Moss's first record, a young value of the current Chicago Blues that began at the age of 20 backing not less than Jimmy Dawkins, Willie 'Big Eyes' Smith and Jimmy Rogers that is to say he has an frankly good C.V. Nevertheless this first intent with The Flip Tops his own band is all right, is more, I like it so I have bought it, but in my opinion it is as if Nick was somewhat timid in his interpretation, he lacks something of conviction, thing that have his later records Got To New Plan, Count Your Blessings, Saddie Mae really excellents and above all the five stars Live At Chan' s; Besides the record features harmonica Lynwood Slim and I find in this case he is correct but limp. The songs have a similar level all of them, with Blues Chicago in its prime "Try To Treat You Right", "Judged By Twelve", "Crazy Mixed Up Baby" ó "She Keeps Me Worried" and some skirmishes inside the Jazz in "Chéz Sweet Petit Pea" very correct. Should also value that he has composed all the songs but one what is a big worth for this young good Blues music. I give it 3 stars."
