"The fact that this is the first review of this masterpiece shows how overlooked has been this work of art. This tribute album is superb both in the choice of trumpeters to which hommage is paid to as well as in the selection of songs. The only evident flaw is the omission of Freddie Hubbard from the list of trumpet legends to whom the album is devoted. The participating trumpeters in the production need no introduction, each with different and very personal styles, but all of them deserving to form part of this legendary production, and the rhytm section could not be better. In sum, a great production which should pass to history as one of the best tribute albums ever produced."
