Ed Bickert is a master of the jazz guitar and has been a mainstay of the Toronto jazz scene for many years. he is one of the best kept secrets in the history of the genre and this CD with Lorne Lofsky reflects Ed's playing at its best. Lorne is of a younger generation of course but these tracks reflect the true timelessness of great music. these two guys swing in the finest jazz tradition. they have soul, taste and incredible technique. they are both featured on this CD with the able assistance of a great rythym section in a wide variety of styles ranging from latin to an outstanding rendition of Wes Montgomery's "Twisted Blues". these guys got game and this CD is a great start for those unfamiliar with these outstanding players. highly recomended!"
