Synopsis

Album Description
Waves ? The Very Best Of Nektar is a 2CD slipcase anthology of Nektar favourites, all of which have been remastered from the highly acclaimed remastered catalogue and featuring tracks from every Nektar release, from 1970 to current day. The story of Nektar is a remarkable one: A British rock band that found stardom and success in Germany and the USA, yet failed to make the significant breakthrough in their own country. With three gold albums under their belt (Remember the Future, Down to Earth and Recycled), Nektar produced some of the most original work of the seventies. In virtuoso guitarist Roye Albrighton, Nektar had a charismatic front man (who had shared the stage with Jimi Hendrix), who, along with Allan "Taff" Freeman (a unique keyboard player in his own right), Derek "Mo" Moore (a bass playing powerhouse) and Ron Howden (whom featured fluidity rarely found in a drummer), created a truly remarkable and outstanding body of unique rock music. Eclectic Discs, an offshoot of Revisited/Inside Out, is proud to release this compilation of some of the most overlooked British rock.
