"Spanish band Neil On Impression have crafted a beautiful instrumental album that will be familiar to post-rock fans. Moody and sweeping, all four tracks seamlessly mix together sharing similar themes which combine for the emotional crescendo of the finale.



Among the usual guitar riffs can be heard warm trumpets and string arrangements alongside piano to create a complex sound that is at times uplifting, melancholic and evocative.



A common criticism of post-rock is that it is cold and repetitive, however this album is constantly inventive and covers a wide range of rhythms and moods, ranging to a complexity found in classical music and film scores.



I discovered this album online, as most are likely to do since it would be impossible to find in stores. I encourage you to find it and give your support to this band.
