"Of the million or so Thunders' live albums, CD's, videos, and cassettes, this one sounds good, has some excellent backing vocals and guitars from Sylvain Sylvain, and even sounds good on most stereos. Of the forty or so live CD's I have of Thunders, this is the one I would recommend if you want a live CD of his. For the studio side of things it's best to go to the So Alone listing."

"To use a cliche:'This show rocks'. johnny, jerry, sylvain, and billy are alive and kicking and playing to a very receptive audience. This is musicaly the tightest Thunders show i've ever heard. Throughout the show Thunders is coherent and witty as opposed to stupid and stoned. There are a lot of nice suprises too. Sylvains '14th Street Beat' and 'Size 10 Shoes',Thunders rare original 'Have Faith', covers of The Stones 'Wild Horses'(!)Play With Fire','West Coast Promo Man'/'Spider and the Fly' are all interesting. Now the bad news. The bass is too loud ! the acoustic segment sounds ambiant. Eno would love it. Otherwise I recommend this disc."

"This former bootleg isn't bad. Johnny is in fine form. The sound quality is OK--better than most. The late John has a receptive, if not slavish, audience, and tries to give a great performance. Recommended."
