"In Spain, sevillanas (being almost the national dance) is its own genre. This is probably sevillanas at its most raw, powerful, essential, and gypsy. Manolo Nunez and co. attacks the sevillanas classics as if they were flamenco, using no more than their voices, guitar, and palmas. The live "Sevillanas Corraleras" with Maria Heredia etc. and gypsy fiesta in full swing will make you get up and dance. A must-have for budding flamenco aficionados and students. Also check out the sister compilation "Sevillanas - Rumba Flamenca" from Orfeon, and Carlos Saura's soundtrack "Sevillanas" (which gives a more diverse presentation of the genre)."
