"Narada's fourth album was also an inflexion point in his career, since this was the album that made him go on the charts ("I shoulda loved ya", "Tonight I'm alright", and were those two cuts played over and over during the summer of that year !) and set a different style than the one on his first three albums. You will still find melodic tunes ("Crazy for ya", "Why did you turn me on", or the closing instrumental, "The dance of life"), typically made in Narada, and an underestimated "Carry on", with a very sharp Santana like guitar to make of this album a turning point, as I said before, in the middle of his solo career. Also note the presence of Marc Russo (Yellowjackets) on alto and tenor saxophones, while Narada does, excluding guitar and bass, almost all the rest (Vocals, Drums, Piano, Percussion). An rereleased album on cd that is very welcome and that you must have if you like his work, or if you want to have a couple of good danceable tracks from the late seventies for your parties."
