"Nana is, from my point of view, the most representative of the best brazilian singers. Her repertoire and the way she sings it is simply extraordinary. Her style, and warm, deep, rich voice are unique and remarkable. This album's songs were carefully chosen, I would say picked to show different composers and styles, being all of them of a very high quality. They go from sophisticated harmonies to more simple compositions,but all of them will hit you right in your heart, even if you don't understand Portuguese."

"In my opinion Nana has been for many years Brazil's best singer and interpreter. What a talent! A major Brazilian newspaper chose her '99 CD as the best Brazilian pop CD of the year. This is a much earlier album, and the songs here are excellent. When I think of some of the material that passes as representative of Brazilian music, I just can't help but write to let you know that the works here rank with the best Brazil has to offer. No wonder: there are songs here by Dorival Caymmi(3), A.C. Jobim, Milton Nascimento, Ivan Lins, etc."

Nana's voice takes me to heaven.
