"I have been a big fan of this orchestra since I stumbled onto "One Stormy Night" in the college book store back in 1967. I thought the album was so so but the concept was great. If you're an MMO fan you'll understand, The sound effects of rain, thunder, trains, and crickets..very romantic. The Mystic Moods recorded ten albums for Philips-Mercury, a European record giant, from '66 to '72. Some efforts were better than others. I believe "Nighttide" is the best of the lot( followed by "Stormy Weekend", "More Than Music", and possibly "Emotions"). Sadly, all ten of the original MMO titles are long out of print. If you're a fan you must comb the internet for copy. If you can find "Nighttide" buy it. It contains the best orchestral versions of many popular movie themes I have ever heard, keeping in mind that it was recorded in mid 1966. Included are themes from "A Summer Place", "Shane", "Gone With The Wind", "Singin' In The Rain", and a super good version of the "Sandpebbles". This is a wonderful album to play when you want to spend romantic time in front of the stereo. Good luck finding a copy as these MMO albums have become rather difficult to find and expensive when you do."
