"I own 9 MXPX CDs and have to agree with most of the reviewers that say it's their best. I love "Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo," and "Let it Happen" - well, ok, I love them all, but just about EVERY song on this disc is hard and fast and raw. Yuri is pounding the life out of the drums and Mike is belting out lyrics like he's not using a mic. I'd have to say that if you don't own any MXPX CDs this is a good one to start with. If, however, you already have some but not this one, then this is a MUST OWN since you'll find it will re-energize your love for this band. Also check out their side project "Cootees" and certainly the hidden gem of a band - "Slick Shoes," very similar to MXPX."
If you don't mind Christian pop punk this cd is awesome!

"If you like bands like Blink 182, and New Found Glory, you'll love this CD. This is MxPx at their best. It's pop punk, and there is none of that fake stuff they tend to do, where they try to be all hard. You can sing along with this entire CD and never get tried of it. MxPx is still a good band but nothing is better than Life in general. Sure it's user-friendly punk, but it's still REALLY good. Sure it's Christian rock but it's not preachy, like their old stuff, and it's not too cheesy. There are some great underline messages in all the songs like Do your feet hurt, which is about being in love but also about waiting until you are married before losing your virginity. So if you don't have a big problem with Christian rock or Pop Punk, get this CD, it totally rocks!"
Barely classifies as "Christian"... They Rock

"MxPx has released so many albums which are all supremely done, incredibly catchy and also very successful. The kids from Bremerton have a huge fan following and they remain one of punk's most beloved bands. Now some people might call them a "Christian" band and while that may have some merit, they dont yell and scream about jesus and god (not that it's necessarily terrible...) but they dont really swear and their songs are often about "christian" issues. To put it bluntly, if you hadn't read this review, you'd never think they were a "christian" band, so if that really bugs you, then try to put in behind you because this album is one of their best. For all you bassists (like myself), Chick Magnet has an awesome bass line and a wicked catchy chorus...It's certainly worth your money, so go nuts, its an AWESOME buy..."
One of my favorite albums of all time!

"Over time, I have heard a lot of different music by many different artists, and I have to say MxPx is one of the best bands I've ever heard. Their lyrics are clean, and the music will be stuck in your head a lot. (which is a good thing) I would have to say they are pros at writing lyrics, and the music itself.
So here you are, looking at this album, wondering if you should buy it or not. The answer? YES! This is one of their best albums, and it contains many of their classics (Chick Magnet, Doing Time, Southbound, etc.) If you want to get into MxPx but don't know where to start, you should get this first. End of story."
