CD ReviewsGreat sound! James LeRoux | Philadelphia, pa | 08/19/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "You dont need to speak the language to enjoy the sound of this album. It has a dance style, the music sounds upbeat and lively. Mustafa sings with high energy!" Lovely!! Tachi | Bay Area, CA | 05/19/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "i discovered mustafa sandal's music through a putumayo compilation that had an r&b version of "aya benzer" and i fell in LOVE. so i looked for more mustafa sandal. however, being that i live in california, finding his music at low prices is not always easy [imported music!]. so the first reasonably priced cd of his that i found and bought is this one, and i truly LOVE it! there are great dancey tracks [1,2,6,7,9,10] and ballads as well. i am a tarkan fan as well, but i must say i truly prefer mustafa's voice over tarkan's. tarkan is easy on the eyes, and a very creative artist as well, but his voice is not honey-like as mustafa's. i DON'T speak turkish, and i LOVE the turkish-infused sounds. being part middle-eastern i grew up listening to mid-east sounds, and i can never get enough. this is why i actually rather despise when artists of certain cultures go "western"; i feel they lose the very essence that makes them so unique and beautiful. i understand the desire to reach bigger audiences, however if you must do so at the expense of changing your music and sound just to please the crowds, i say FORGET THEM!! i love music for its ability to represent a culture, a different feeling, and if people of OTHER outside cultures can't appreciate that and accept it as is, or can only do so once someone becomes "like them", then they are not forced to listen to the music at all. what matters most is being REAL, NOT how many records you sell, as opposed to what many people may think. LISTEN AND ENJOY!! seni seviyorum ;)" Wow... zombiemoth | SD | 07/24/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "I found Mustafa by accident when one of my linguistics professors gave me a mixed Turkish music CD. I heard the songs, LOVED THEM, but had absolutely no idea who it was. I don't even know how I found out, but once I did, I bought this CD because it was the cheapest. This CD was so amazing, I ordered 4 more of his right after that (and I plan on buying the rest as well). This one is my favorite one so far, but the others I've heard are great too. You know, I could go on and on, but honestly if you are in the least interested, quit wasting your time reading this and just buy the CD!"
