"I recently heard this CD and will be shocked if it doesn't wind up off-Broadway soon. If you liked "Avenue Q" you'll love "The Green Room." Check it out!"

"Think Christmas for the actors and actresses in your life! I received THE GREEN ROOM as a gift because I'm an actress and it's the perfect gift. (Even if you have to buy it as a gift FOR YOURSELF!) I read the liner notes as I was listening to the CD so I feel like I've seen the show. Hope I do get to see a production of it some day. The voices on this CD are GREAT. They blend like they have been singing together for years. There's a 4 part acapella song called "Don't Try To Part The Water" that sounds incredible musically, and if you've read the liner notes and know what the song is about it's a HOOT! There are more sections of 4 part acapella singing interspersed in the show ... LOVE THAT!
Lyrics are fresh and interesting and tell a great story and the music is perfectly fit to the lyrics. Everything sounds new! What a refreshing change from shows that try to copy existing money makers!
There are lots of cute twists to the plot of the show.
The back of the CD case says the song "It's All About Me" is the Songwriter's Guild of America 2005 Song of the Year and you can understand why when you hear it sung. It's really well done on the CD and the lyrics ring true to anyone who has ever auditioned for a show and takes it one step further than the audition!
Nothing repetitive about the songs on the CD ... every one stands alone in style and sound and yet they all fit together as one for a show ... NICE WORK on the part of the creators.
I want to meet all of the characters ... they are like so many people I've worked with in Theater. Be sure to read the liner notes when you're listening to the CD ... it sounds like a fun show!"
Clever, clever, clever!

"The best part of these original songs is that regardless of the style of music (and it varies from standard musical theater to blues to a capella), the sense of humor always rings true. These songwriters have found a way to wind ingenious lyrics into the music that gets each song's point across in a highly, HIGHLY entertaining way.
NICE WORK!"
Awesome! The new RENT!

"I bought this CD on impulse as I liked the title, and it blew my mind! The songs are expertly crafted with a little bit of everything for everyone! The stand outs are "It's All About Me" (a young girl's tirade about being cast in the worst roles), "In the End" (a beautiful ballad exploring the choices we make) and "It Comes Easy" (another ballad where two charcters sing about love coming at the right time). Not only are the songs exceptional, but the singers are expert and the quality of the recording is terrific. HIHGLY RECOMMENDED."
