"This was the first (of two) albums which the great Louie Ramirez would produce for La Sonora Poncena. It spawned the major hits "Bomba Carambomba", "La Pollera Colora" and the ageless "El Pio Pio"--all of which further cemented La Sonora Poncena's status as Puerto Rico's greatest Salsa band. Not only are the great soneros Miguelito Ortiz and Luigi Texidor in peak form here...the all-star chorus of Hector Lavoe, Ruben Blades, Tito Allen and Ray De La Paz is as hot and tight as could be. Along with 1974's "Sabor Sureno",1977's "El Gigante Del Sur" and 1978's "Explorando" this 1976 release is a prime and timeless example of Puerto Rican Salsa at its hottest and best."
