Wonderful Native American musician. Combines Native music with more modern rhythm but still keeps it feeling traditional.

"Robert Mirabal and Rare Tribal Mob have outdone themselves with the release of their newest CD "Music From A Painted Cave". The music just touches your heart and takes you on a journey that you will never forget. Songs like Little Indians and Hope that inspire hope for current and future generations, An Kah Na a tribute to mothers, and The Dance and Navajo Fires that will have you up dancing. Just to mention a few. It is truely a moving CD and a must have for Mirabal fans as well as anyone wishing to discover the power of Robert Mirabal and RTM music. One only needs to go as far as the messageboard on his website mirabal.com to see how the music is affecting people in a positive way. There have been over 1000 messages of praise since the first airing of the video of the same name. The messages speak volumes alone. Don't miss out on this one!!"

"Robert is a true entertainer with many wonderful and great talents, which is well proven in "Music from a Painted Cave". It is obvious he has worked hard to get where he's at and is surely proud, as he should be. Unfortunately he is sometimes criticized by those who can't see outside the "box". However, if you visit his web page, take a moment to read his bio, find out what makes him who he is and more importantly read the messages from his fans, including over 900 new entries from people who watched this PBS special, hearing him for the very first time and instantly fell in love with his style. Robert is truly a unique performer, his individuality and powerful messages make this CD and video outstanding. What a wonderful mixture of traditional music and dance blended with modern new age and rock; it's beautiful, touching, fun, and most of all SINCERE."

"This is a live recording of Robert Mirabal's latest live concert performance, which was aired as a PBS special. I have all of Robert's other CD's and listen to them constantly. Robert is a an award-winning and highly respected Native American artist and this CD is a perfect example of why. It is a mix of both his traditional and contemporary music. Robert's music can touch your soul and heal your spirit, he is one of those extraordinary individuals who has the ability to speak to everyone in a way that no one else can. This CD will lift your spirits and comfort your heart."

"...I went back and listened again. Then I watch the PBS broadcast of MUSIC FROM A PAINTED CAVE. I found it so mesmerizing that I watched the not one but two rebroadcasts of it. I found Robert and Patrick to have a Great sense of humor and a child like innocence that I seemed to vaguely remember having somewhere in my youth. It made me stop and think. I think that it was wonderful of Robert and Patrick Mirabal and theRare Tribal Mob to help support PBS. I found the MUSIC FROM A PAINTED CAVE to be a refreshing sound that seemed to move both my feet, then my heart, then my spirit. Besides enjoying it myself I will be giving it as gifts so that I can share this musical magic with others."

The music comes directly from his heart and you can tell that by hearing it and seeing the performance the entire group shares with us! If you never listen to his music you will be missing out on more than you could ever imagine."
