"This CD is incredible. Clark takes horn playing to a new level by playing chamber music pieces on that natural horn. The best part of the CD is in the 2 horn duos where Clark goes up to a high G on the Eb horn (concert Bb). It's unbelievable. The Mozart and Brahms are played with other great musicians, although I'm not sure if they are playing on period instruments. In the Beethoven and Brahms, a fortepiano is used to increase the authenticity. This is an incredible album, an obligato CD for any horn player."

"In reply to your reviewer, yes, the string players on this disc are playing on original (or faithful copies of the original) instruments. Unfortunately EMI got some of the listings wrong on the insert (the violin I played on for the Mozart and Beethoven was made in 1670, not 1870) so it's not that obvious. I'm glad you enjoyed the recording!"
