"Paulino Garcia Blanco, one of the four guitarists who interpretes Torroba on these CDs, has also edited and fingered these same works in two volumes for guitar. As a classical guitarist, I have been reading this music for several months and was excited to find the parallel CDs. These are beautiful, well played pieces, and you are unlikely to even find most of these pieces anywhere else. Blanco and his colleagues are obviously interested in presenting Torroba to a larger public with these CDs, and they are well worth owning by any classical guitar enthusiast. As a guitarist, I would have liked a chronology of these pieces included in the notes since it is also lacking in the written volumes, but this in no way detracts from the artistic value of these recordings. It is also curious to note differences in the notation played in the piece Siguenza, for example, on this CD as opposed to a recording by Andres Segovia. It makes you wonder what artistic license has been taken in the interpretation of one or the other."
