"Six years after their last release Compton's Most Wanted return with their fifth album "Music to Gang Bang" (2006). After the intro CMW provides a banger with "Still A Menace", the beat to this cut is fire as are the lyrics. This track is the modern day follow up to MC Eiht's classic cut "Streiht Up Menace". Compton's Most Wanted and Mr. Criminal team up for the album's title track. Another standout is the smooth upbeat cruising cut "Come Ride With Me", a laidback summer track. CMN represent themselves and their hood on cuts like "We Them Gangstaz" and "Compton Compton". Backed by some dark production CMW drop a weed ballad with "Gots To Get High". Another standout for me is "Late Night Hype 3" a very smooth cut which makes me think of house parties, good times and rolling home with a honey. The album is closed off with a impressive cut in "Mega Mix", a dope mix of hardcore samples and more laidback ones. "Music to Gang Bang" is a solid release, which fans of the group and West Coast Hip Hop may appreciate; I also recommend checking out MC Eiht's latest album "Affiliated"."
