"The voyage of the Strange Fruit album begins with the familiar sound of pencil to paper. From there, we are taken on a musical journey of sounds that you can see, touch, taste and feel. This work is certainly artistic, incredibily real and musically intoxicating. It is refreshing, original, smart and intense...I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys jazz (Coltrane, Parker, or Davis) and to anyone who would consider themselves an intellectual or writing aficianado. An awesome collaboration of musicianship and prose!!"

"This is one of the most progressive CDs out. Mums is a true poet with a vision for jazz music and a ear for creating pictures with words. Slam poets and jazz lovers will find something to spark your imagination. But radio isnt ready for independant music or any thing that might make the public think. Buy this CD it will be a collectors item and well worth the price of admission."
