CD ReviewsA Great CD, too bad it's out of print.... 12/21/2003 (4 out of 5 stars) "This great CD was released in the mid 90's, but all the material on it actually predates The Muffins first album, (the also exceptional, "Manna/Mirage") in the mid-70's. However, you would never know it by listening to it as the material sounds as if it was recorded yesterday. It is extremely difficult to find a U.S. band that plays great "Canterbury style" progressive music yet retains their own unique sound.
The Muffins later material, "185," etc. is a good listen, but the era of the band captured on this CD moves me far more." |
