"A acid-jazz house music disc.
A fantastic disc.
The strongest swing of the last years.
Mr Scruff mix the acid jazz house with the violence of a rokers.
You will find also some rhythm of the UK new wawe (Vibrate...for example!) but the real force of this album it's the variety : Shelf Wobbler it's an ossessive rythm in your brain, Shrimp it's an example how you can put togheter different sounds, but everything starts from Here we go....try to stand up...you will not remain without dancing and moving your body.
Trouser Jazz it's a cd for a crazy party but also for having nice and not conventional music in your mind.

"If "Trouser Jazz" isn't the funkiest, grooviest, most creative set of songs I have ever heard, I will slap somebody! And I mean that! I've always heard of this guy and really looove the song "Get A Move On" that's featured on "Hotel Costes 2" and some Lincoln Navigator commercial, as well as Another Late Night with Fila Brazillia. I heard "Champion Nibble" on Water Music's "Ultimate Lounge" and fell in love with it instantly. So naturally, I had to pick up "Trouser Jazz" when I saw it in Borders. VERY IMPRESSIVE!! The mix of jazz, trip-hop, funk, rap and classical work well together and Mr. Scruff does it all with flawless precision. Songs of note on "Trouser Jazz" are "Beyond", "Come Alive", "Come on Grandad", "Shrimp" and of course, "Champion Nibble." I'm going out to get "Keep It Unreal." I heard its better than this set...if that's the case, then I'm sure to enjoy it!!"
Funtastic!

"Wooha! I just got this CD yesterday, and well... i guess i'm going to have to pick up his other stuff too.
All this because I went to go see him live one time in Chicago (here's hoping he comes back!!)
I got an autograph too.
This CD is funkytastic!"
And now for something....completely different

"I picked this up because I liked the name. I do that too much, and am usually sorely disappointed, but this CD by the enigmatic "Mr Scruff" was quirky, odd, and by all reasoning, shouldn't have worked. However, it did.
From his ingenious usage of sampling to the funky undertones he creates, Mr Scruff creates a record that is simultaneously all genres of music at once. From the intro ("here we go") to the comedic finale ("ahoy there!"), this record provides enough interesting nuances from start to finish to provide a source of entertainment for everyone, whatever your musical tastes. Because of the level of eclecticism that exists on this record, there might be a few tracks that are not quite as pleasing to the ear as one might hope (hence 4 stars, not 5), but if you long to hear something different that breaks the monotony and transcends the mire that is 'electronic music' today, I strongly recommend this CD.
Personally, I rate this higher than his "keep it unreal" CD, but that's probably because I listened to "trouser jazz" first. They're both distinctive and both are welcome additions to anyone's record collection!"
Pretty impressive

"I usually get bored with house/acid jazz/electronica sounds. They are usually too repetitive for my taste, with some exceptions.
This is one of the exceptions. Impressive sounds and variety."
